Search Engine Optimization The Easy Way – Pt2

Now you should begin to see all the benefits that search engine optimization can bring you. To put things in perspective I would like to remind you that one of the people I know that is involved in the biz op industry is raking in over $80 000 each month by being on top of search results for just one keyword. Unfortunately, I have not yet reached his level of success, however the bit of effort I have put in search engine optimization did indeed bring me some profits.

Here are some simple search engine optimization methods that will help your site go up in the rankings, bring traffic to your site and increase your profits more than you would have ever thought possible.

Have a great website name (URL).

You will need to give a lot of thought to your website’s name. What I mean by that is not actually choosing a witty and memorable name for your business, but rather one that will contain a search term that users will make use of. You should have one of your keywords in the URL. While this may seem as obvious to many of you, there are still plenty of sties where webmasters have not done so and have numbers, punctuation and other weird things in their URL.

You will also notice that sites which have a keyword that users search for will come up on top of the results. From a search engine’s point of view, it is quite likely that in a search for the keyword “dog training” a site called dogtraining.com will be relevant to that search.

If you have a site with a lot of content (such as articles), it is a good idea to make the name for every article or category match a keyword that people will be using.

Have page titles that are unique and describe your content well.

Every one of your pages will have a page title which you can change easily. The title will give information to both users and search engine as to what is on your page.

Believe me, having a relevant page title is the best way to propel yourself upward in the rankings.

A lot of online marketers, even senior ones have pages with generic titles such as “home page.” Obviously, this will not get you far in terms of search engine optimization.

Here are some main points to remember when choosing a title:

  • It should contain 1 or 2 of your keywords.
  • It needs to be between 40 to 64 characters long.
  • It should be relevant to the content of your page and attract users.
  • It should be relevant to the content of your page and attract users.
  • Capitalizing your page title has been proven to attract more clicks from search results.
